Financial wellness is an adult’s view of their money and transactions. It shows how well a person manages their financial life.
People recognize financial wellness as benefit, goals and satisfaction. People often mistake financial wellness as “free money” when it is benefits going to employees. One thing it is not is lots of money or wealth. Employees can’t just become wealthly off of financial wellness. It helps support their mental health; that way they are able to keep working and become stress free. Financial wellness means to me that it is providing support to adults/employees who are struggling with their finances. People can see it differently: they view it as giving away the money that themselves worked hard for. They question it, “Why should other people get my money when they are doing the same thing I am doing?” Basically saying that other adults aren’t working as hard as they are. This involves taxes and paying them for the money to go to benefits for other people. People should just strictly see financial wellness as a positive impact for employees. Financial wellness compares to financial education. They both bring knowledge of how to handle your money and transactions. They allow you to view money differently and how important situations involve money. Importance of financial wellness is managing your money for every day necessities, keeping up with saving goals, planning to be debt free, providing healthy mindsets to you and your family and relating to your money on a closer connection level. lots of companies will provide this benefit because they view how important it is for an employee. Mental health plays a big role with financial wellness overall. This is something that should be brought up more. Employees well being is at risk and no ones mental health should be at stake because of money situations.
