It is no surprise that many employees have expressed feeling exploited by their job in recent years. Although some may say that is not something new and that people have been overworked since the dawn of time the things have changed and it has been getting harder and harder for employees to have a true balance in their workplace due to the pressure their jobs put on them. Most of us have been introduced to the idea of the American Dream since a young age and how we should work hard to get to where we want to be in life but the problem comes when you put in the hard work and still continue to be far from achieving the American Dream. Many people have reported feeling stuck in their jobs and feel like they have no space for prosperity in their craft. Even in movies we are presented with the idea of how people are overworked and feel like they are in a never ending cycle like a hamster in its wheel running non stop. Employees at the start unknowingly play a part in a system where they are not being appreciated and doing things that no longer benefit them but people higher up from them. This creates a feeling of impending doom that could result in people feeling enslaved to their work and exploited for their time. To me this means a lot because I feel like communication and spending time with people outside a professional space is very crucial to the health both physically and mentally of  a person. The time we have in our life is very important to us because any experience is something that could be short lived so we have to take advantage of the time we have and make sure every second counts. People do not deserve to be exploited out their time and social life.
