Jay’s Mexican Gothic Post

This summer I’m reading for my students. I’m searching for a new class novel that may evolve into an interesting writing project. If you ask me about elevating critical thinking skills, I would increase the amount of reading in class. (But, no one ever asks me!) The other night I finished a gothic horror novel. I share my personal reading below to inspire students to share theirs on our Canvas Discussion Board. First, you can see a "snip" of my assignment writing prompts. Then, you could see my sample writing.  In this day and age, I don’t know how to make young people read more, but when they discuss their own reading among themselves, that doesn’t hurt.
