Cynthia’s post will provide music to an English teacher’s ears. She read The Alchemist in a college English class, and then went home and bought it to read again. It’s a simple story, but it opened her eyes to more complex elements of literature. Based on her recommendation and description I just might consider reading The Alchemist with future classes.
