Today I found something very interesting interesting about Marilyn’s upbringing. Her mother was plagued by anxiety and depression.  In fact, it seems the mother spent more time in mental hospitals than she did with her daughter.   The grandmother had also been institutionalized.  She died in an asylum.

Marilyn grew up in fear that her days were numbered.
